The UK police landscape is undergoing its most fundamental change ever. The introduction of Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs), the National Crime Agency (NCA), a new Police Professional Body and a new Police IT Company will all have a fundamental and far-reaching impact on policing across the UK. We are currently actively working with prospective Police and Crime Commissioners to develop an extensive support package in the lead up to the November elections.

To highlight online vulnerabilities and help protect children, we partnered with the WePROTECT Global Alliance to create the first Global Threat Assessment - a report which ensures countries and organisations have a consistent approach to identifying, managing and preventing this growing, persistent and historically unseen threat, globally.

In a complex technology programme, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is introducing a new electronic monitoring system with GPS tracking to improve offender management. After a series of set-backs and disputes ground the programme to a halt, the MoJ called PA to help get it back on track.

The Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales prosecutes almost half a million cases every year, working closely with the courts, police, defence teams and probation. We redesigned the way the CPS could manage cases in the future to support a major investment in digital capability and enable the Criminal Justice System to operate more smoothly for everyone.

UK justice is the envy of the rest of the world. But the service the public and professionals experience in bringing it about can be slow and frustrating. Processes are often unwieldy and staff hamstrung by systems and procedures. Court buildings are often out-dated and IT has fallen behind the revolution that’s taken place in wider society.

PA Consulting worked with social business Catch22 to develop a growth strategy for Code4000. The programme provides coding training for prisoners to help them find technology jobs after release and stay out of prison.
